Hello Wonderseekers!
This week we earthlings will be treated to the Worm Blood Moon. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to see it in France but all North Americans will have great visibility when it reaches its peak in the early morning of Friday March 14th.
The Worm Moon is the last moon of winter, named because the earthworms return to the recently thawed surface, drawing the birds from their winter nests. Although other cultures call it by different names like the Sugar Moon (for the rising of the maple sap) or the Windy Moon (for the whipping winds that usher in spring), it’s a welcome celestial farewell to our too-long chilly season. The Blood moniker comes from the combo of a full moon with a total lunar eclipse, when the earth blocks the sun’s reflection on the moon, creating an eerily sanguine tinge.
For those who follow astrology, the moon is in Virgo, and Virgos LOVE organising, so this is the perfect time to harness some supercharged Virgo energy this week for a good ol’ spring clean. It’s also an ideal time to do some brain decluttering, too (which is great prep if you’re joining the Visioning Session, as well!)
Some tips for a cleaner, clearer noggin:
Start with a physical clean. Your mind will start to naturally feel less cluttered when your space does. Pick just one area like your closet or your junk drawer if the whole house feels overwhelming.
Look to reduce other sources of mental clutter like digital overload, poor time management or analysis paralysis.
Implement one new tool to give your brain a spring clean. Try a digital detox or information diet. Explore a decision making framework like an Eisenhower Matrix. Do some deep breathing or a five minute meditation. Give your phone its own bed away from your own and stick to it. (Ok. The last one is directed at me.)
Start your day with a brain dump journaling exercise. List every single thing on your mind including odd niggling things you want to google or are bugging you (this is particularly helpful for those of us with ADHD.). Set aside 30mins as a ‘treat’ towards the end of the day where you are allowed to ruminate, fall down google rabbit holes or otherwise obsess about your brain dump. If anxious, annoying or distracting thoughts pop up during the day add them to the list and save them for your 30min ‘brain junk time’.
If you’re able to see the Worm Blood Moon, I’d love to see your pictures!
Some wonderbringers for me this week:
Memory and self: Do memories make us who we are?
Wrestling with self-defeating thoughts?: Try this instead.
Why some people choose not to know: Willful ignorance frees people to act selfishly.
Interest for the Vision Boarding session is still pouring in! If you have expressed interest, your invite will go out this week. Be on the lookout and check your spam.
As a reminder, it will be held live on Thursday April 4th at 4:30pm GMT (11:30am ET, 8:30am PT). A recording will be available for those who cannot join live.
It is free for Wonderbringers subscribers, so if you have any folks who would like to join, forward them this email so they can subscribe to get access.
Get in touch if you want an invite!
With wonder,
