Hello wonderseekers!
The news this week is particularly devastating. Regardless of your political leanings, there is no human still in touch with their sense of empathy who would not be shaken by the images of children burning to death in the very place they were told they would be safe. I have no profound pronouncements other than to say that I am heavy with the knowledge that while individual humans have such deep potential for goodness, groups of them lose themselves so quickly in hatred.
So this week I am looking beyond our flawed humanness to the cosmos — both inner and outer — and sharing some thoughts on how the stars might be a means to heal us.

Some wonderbringers for me this week:
The 2024 Milky Way photographer of the year: “Lightning Lake” by Tom Rae.
What if aliens exist but they're just hiding from us?: The Dark Forest theory, explained.
Welcome to the Age of Psychedelic Inequality: Psychedelic-assisted therapies have been hailed as the wave of the future. What if most people can’t afford them.
Quotable quote:
“And he became aware of the universe, that endless canopy of chance and wonder.” - from Still Life by Sarah Winman
Thanks to Elizabeth Talerman. Edward Parkes, and Mark Eltringham for contributions this week. I am so grateful for this community of wonderseekers!
With wonder,
