The December holiday season is in full flow with Hannukha having kicked off earlier in the week, and only (gasp!) 12 days until Christmas. (I think there is a song about that…) I’ve mentioned how much I love Thanksgiving. I’m not such a fan of Christmas, though. It’s just …. too much. Too much consumerism. Too much waste. Too much pressure. So as much as I love the twinkly lights, and appreciate the religious significance, I find the whole thing a bit overwhelming. My plan is to try and see the whole affair through the eyes of a child. Wonderous enrapture to the soundtrack of Vince Guaraldi.
