Hello, Wonderseekers,
This is my favorite month. I love November for the nip in the air and the fiery leaves, but most of all I look forward to Thanksgiving. I am often asked why I prefer it to other holidays like Christmas or Hanukkah and the reason is because it is ecumenical, welcoming, and generally non-consumerist (with the exception of Black Friday which is rubbish.) I also love that it is a reminder to give thanks.
Knowing gratitude is a wonderbringer, I have a little November tradition of my own, which is to find something to be grateful for each day of the month and note it down. Maybe you’d like to join me?

Some wonderbringers for me this week:
It might sound odd, but the file-sharing platform WeTransfer shares some lovely short films, this one from Jamie Sinclair — “Hjem” follows the stories of asylum seekers settling in the UK.
Also feeling grateful for mobility? Spine stimulator lets man with severe Parkinson's walk without falling.
What I’m reading: The Mind Body Code by Dr. Mario Martinez and The Island of Sea Women by Lisa See.
Two newsletters I’m digging: The Supper Club (filled with curious tidbits and always includes a recipe) and Kelly Hoey’s substack (a great source for good networking and career advice.)
Anyone in London this week, come join me on Thursday 9th November for the Festival of Hospitality Wonder Salon. It’s going to be held at the uber-cool Shoreditch Arts Club and I’ll be joined on the salon panel by Katie Brinsmead-Stockham and James Cheung. Katie helped build The Hoxton brand, and James and his team are responsible for some of those mind-blowing parametric structures built —and burnt—at Burning Man.
With wonder,
