Hello, Wonderseekers,
Thank you to everyone who got in touch to wish me well during my bout of Covid. I am back and tip-top again!
I don’t know about you, but it feels like someone hit a switch and suddenly it’s fall (or autumn depending on where you are.) The pumpkin-spiced industrial complex has kicked into gear, the days are getting shorter, and there is a little chill in the air. Leaf peeping can’t be far behind. I love the fall and it turns out I’m not alone. Apparently, it’s America’s favorite season. According to sociologists, it’s not the pumpkins-spiced lattes that have us falling for fall, but rather the engrained sense of a fresh start we carried over from the school-days of childhood. It all has to do with “temporal landmarks.” More in my video.

Some wonderbringers for me this week:
Shana Tova! Rosh Hashanah reflections on a new year: “How can I begin anything new with all of yesterday in me?” - Leonard Cohen
Book recommendation - I love this take on happiness. This Author Says Having a "Microjoy" Practice Can Help You Stay Hopeful.
I look forward to this every year (and folks in London can see the exhibition in person): Images of ‘wonder and woe’ in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition.
A beautiful way to give purpose to dementia sufferers: The Restaurant of Mistaken Orders.
Check out my latest interview on the Marketing, Mindfulness, and Martinis podcast with Joanne Tombrakos. I’m looking forward to guest lecturing at Joanne’s NYU marketing class this November!
With wonder,
