Hello, Wonderseekers!!
I am feeling a bit under the weather and I reckon you don’t want to see that, so I’ve clipped a little conversation I had recently with Chris Voss. We have a lot of new subscribers to the newsletter, so I thought it might be helpful for me to answer the question “What is wonder?” Hope to see you next week fit as a fiddle!

Think of this as your mid-week moment of wondrous reflection. Close your eyes, put the phone on silent, and take just two minutes out of your day to be transported.
I wanted to share one of my wonderbringing sounds that I recorded recently. Since I was a kid I have wanted to see the Metropolitan Opera perform at Lincoln Center. Maybe it was that scene from Moonstruck, but the venue always held a sort of mythical quality for me.
If you’re not familiar with Lincoln Center, it is a 16 acre complex in Manhattan comprised of thirty indoor and outdoor performance facilities that host some of the most revered performing arts organizations in the world like the New York Philharmonic, the New York City Ballet, the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, and the Juilliard School.
I had the opportunity to see the Met perform La Traviata a few weeks ago and it blew my mind. Entering on the red carpet. Heading to our seats up the curved staircase. Watching the constellation chandeliers rise just as the performance starts and the lights drop. It was magical. I’m sharing with you the sound of the orchestra as they were warming up. I love that moment. The frisson and anticipation of what’s to come. I hope you enjoy!
